About us

Afzal & Munni Subhani are both shagird (disciples) of the King of ghazals Ustad Mehdi Hassan.

Not only that they love to sing ghazals , but have enjoyed equally the old classic hit songs and also fast and vibrant songs of the present time.

Munni also has a passion for kathak dance, her guru in this field of art is none other than the "Divine Dancer" Shri Pratap Pawar.

Poetry Live!

Toronto is now the birthplace of a new musical venture.
The highly talented team of singers and composers ,.
Munni and Afzal Subhani are now taking poems and setting them to the music.
The lyrics are the poetic outpourings of comtemporary South Asian Canadian poets,
therefore the new creative challenge is to enhance the poetic circle by adding a
new dimension to the prsentation of verses.

Recently, there were two book launches, the first by Ashfaq Hussain and the other by
Munif Ashar.
